Thank you for your Support!!!
Wedgefield families, you are awesome, and there are no words to express our gratitude for your support and contributions to Puerto Rico. Our own staff appreciates all the good thoughts and donations because many of them have their love ones affected, as well, on the island. Your donations helped us prepare more than 45 boxes that were sent directly to families in Puerto Rico, three full boxes of supplies were transported with Jet Blue, and other items will be pick up by a local entity, “Asociación Hispanidad” to give to the families that are coming to Orlando. Moments of sadness have been turn by you into moments of hope during this difficult time.
We NEED You! On behalf of Wedgefield School, we invite you to teach and/or present to one or more classes as part of this community wide effort – Teach-in 2017 – on Wednesday, November 15th. It’s simple to participate, and you can volunteer the time that your schedule permits. Teach-in highlights the importance of bringing together teachers, school staff, parents, students, and the entire community in a unified effort to build great public schools. We will do our part by giving you some suggestions to prepare you for this volunteer experience with an informative Teach-In Volunteer Guide. We would love to have you share your occupation with our students. You can speak to one class for 30-45 minutes, or multiple classes
Veterans Day – Nov. 10, 2017 9:15 – 10:15 Please help us honor and celebrate our veterans in the Wedgefield School Communities. Are you a veteran or know someone who is? We would love to honor you and/or them as a part of our celebration. There will be a veteran’s reception immediately following the celebration.
Congratulations Wedgefield Soccer! We are very proud of our students who showed great sportsmanship on our 2017 Soccer teams. They truly came together and developed good communication and teamwork this season. Our girls ended the season in a three way tiebreaker for the playoffs! Overall the girls ended the season with a record of 4-3 and our boys team ended with a record of 1-6. Way to go Rockets!
