WELCOME TO WEDGEFIELD - A Deed Restricted Community

Wedgefield Neighborhood Watch November – December 2019

Each Month Neighborhood Watch Information will continue to be published in an ongoing effort to keep our community informed on crime watch matters.

The Wedgefield NHW is a strictly watch and report. No pursuit, no patrol, no confrontation, just watch and report.

During the last half of NOVEMBER to the present date of DECEMBER 10, 2019 based on Orange County Sheriff’s crime statistics on OCSO web site we have had NO REPORTED CRIMES. We are indeed fortunate that our crimes are few and far between but if we are unfortunate to have it happen to us it is devastating. And of course, we must report all crimes to OCSO as they occur. Without accurate reporting, there will be no effort to solve the issues for the community.

I have received three calls regarding the traffic on Bancroft and Dallas and the fact that drivers are not stopping at the 4 way stop at Dallas and Starry. The calls regarding Bancroft center around traffic turning into and out of the school. That intersection is extremely dangerous if you are not paying attention. The authorities have been made aware of the lack of a true School Zone and Crossing Guard. Until a decision is made please use caution traversing that area.

With the holidays upon us the urge to get in the spirit needs to be tempered with personal awareness. We must be aware of our surroundings at all times while shopping and we must make every effort to keep purchases from view both in your vehicles and in your home. No Christmas tree in the living room window with all the gifts Please.

AGAIN SPECIAL THANKS to Denise Grage our NHW Facebook Coordinator for keeping our NHW Facebook page neighborly and smooth running. A Well done to everyone involved with the NHW Program.
This year again the burglary box (for large-item packaging and boxes) will be located at 9000 Lake Underhill Road at the Eastland Baptist Church.

Now let us “Make it a Habit” and to BE SURE TO LOCK UP, be good neighbors and make the effort to be observant and take appropriate action. “SEE SOMETHING – SAY SOMETHING”
