WELCOME TO WEDGEFIELD - A Deed Restricted Community

A NOTE FROM COMMISSIONER EMILY BONILLA

Dear Wedgefield Residents,

I’m honored to serve the people of District 5. My office works tirelessly to meet with as many constituents and community groups as possible to learn of concerns and priorities first-hand. For Wedgefield, we are focused on issues concerning Bancroft Blvd. and Pluris Inc.

Currently, speed reducing countermeasures like speed feedback signs and rumble strips have been installed on Bancroft Boulevard. However, according to the Traffic Engineering Division’s speed studies, cars are still speeding on the road. I have met with the Traffic Engineering Division who notified me that they will continue to evaluate possible solutions to control this issue. Once these evaluations are complete, I will schedule a community meeting for us to discuss the options available.
On November 28, 2017, a work session was held to discuss further consideration of the acquisition of Pluris Inc. Orange County is currently in the procurement process of acquiring outside consultants to determine the financial costs associated with the acquisition, valuation, treatment process improvements, and infrastructure rehabilitation.

We would love to keep you updated on District 5 issues, so please e-mail us and request to be added to our newsletter list. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact us at district5@ocfl.net. My office is here to represent your interests, so I encourage you to stay informed and provide your feedback so we may work together to improve the quality of life in our community.

Sincerely,

Commissioner Emily Bonilla
