WELCOME TO WEDGEFIELD - A Deed Restricted Community

Wedgefield School News

It is amazing that the first semester at our new school has come to a close. During the first semester we have had so many memorable moments that we couldn’t possibly share them all but we wanted to share just a few with you.

Our students formed our first Boys and Girls Sports Teams in Soccer and Volleyball. The teams were amazing and have set us up for many successful teams to come. Here are just a few snapshots of our amazing players.

We are now in Basketball season and in the spring we will have Track and Field teams. We hope you will come out to some of our games.
In October, we proudly had our school dedication. It was such a thrill to have all of our students and many of our community members and families join us as we celebrated the dedication of our school. Dr. Barbara Jenkins, Bill Sublette, Joie Cadle, Dr. Anna Diaz, company designees that were instrumental in building and designing the school, as well as many other key people joined us to dedicate our school. We are very proud of Wedgefield School and thankful to be a part of the community.

Wedgefield Angel Tree and Food Drive
We are excited to share with you that our inaugural Holiday Food Drive and Angel Tree at Wedgefield School was a huge success. We collected enough food to fill 10 holiday food baskets for our families in need and to provide them some extra food over the holiday break. Our Angel Tree contained 28 “Angels” which were quickly chosen by our students’ families and members in our Wedgefield School community, providing our “Angels” with holiday gifts that otherwise they may not have received. We at Wedgefield School would like to thank our Wedgefield School community for the support you have shown our families in need this holiday season.

We love our First Responders!
We recently had the honor of celebrating our own Deputy Cathy Stephens during First Responders Week Jan 9-13. We sent lots of cards and signed banners to our local OPD, Sherriff’s Dept., Wedgefield and Christmas Fire Departments. We appreciate all that they do to keep our community safe!
