WEDGEFIELD NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH – SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2017

Since September 3 to the present date of OCTOBER 11, 2017 based on Orange County Sheriff’s crime statistics listed on the OCSO website we have not had a listed crime. The one on September 3 was listed as the theft of an automobile. I am certain that we have had other crimes that have not made it to the web site nor have the victims called me as I have requested.

This year our second Neighborhood Watch Night Out was held on Tuesday OCTOBER 3rd. I hope everyone went next door to get to know your neighbors. Everyone knows the best crime prevention device known to man or woman is a good neighbor that knows what to do. Call OCSO.

Mr. Roger Secrist commissioned a review of our crimes in July and it clearly showed that we are failing to secure our property thus making it readily available to the next criminal that comes by. Seriously, let’s all try to lock up and in the case of our automobiles use the “BAG IT” approach where you take with you all valuables when you park and lock your car, be it at work or home.

Regarding Residential Security please know that I am a graduate of the Attorney Generals Program on Residential Security and will be more than happy to conduct a survey for anyone who wants. Just give me a call (407) 679-6644. (Our Crime prevention officer and our COP Team Leader also are able to conduct the survey)

On a happy note EVELYN RODRIGUEZ PEREZ continues to keep our Wedgefield NHW FaceBook page neighborly and smooth running with 1,668 MEMBERS with several in the Q. Now let us all be good neighbors and make the effort to be observant and take appropriate action “SEE SOMETHING – SAY SOMETHING”
