Amanda Schultz has lived in Wedgefield since she was nine months old. Her Love for the ocean started with her first trip to Sea World at the age of two years old where she had an opportunity to hold a starfish. After that experience, she went to Sea World Camp every summer and learned all she could about sea life and the ocean.
Amanda attended Colombia Elementary, Corner Lake Middle School and graduated from Timber Creek High School. She attended the University of West Florida where she studied Underwater Archaeology, working one summer diving and researching wrecks including one from the De Luna expedition (one of several ships that sank during a hurricane in Pensacola Bay in 1659). She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies and a minor in
Anthropology. Amanda has worked as a lifeguard and is currently working at Universal Studios.
She has a four legged sister, an English Bulldog, named Rosie whom she loves snuggling on the couch with. Amanda loves mermaids & has dozens of statues & books on mermaids, even has a mermaid tattoo. She is an avid reader and loves all kinds of movies, even old black
and whites, especially if Humphrey Bogart is in the movie.
This writer has known Amanda since she was a baby & she is a great gal with lots of personality.
