WEDGEFIELD ADOPTS OUR FIRE STATION

Like the Shepherds and Wise Men in the Christmas story, many Wedgefield residents converged on our Fire Station bearing gifts. The on-duty crew welcomed everyone with smiles, laughter and open arms. The residents brought gifts of pies, cakes, vegetables, dressings, turkey and ham, along with other wonderful goodies. The Red Hat Ladies heard that the Crew could use another Crock pot and one was presented. The residents were given a brief explanation for the “Crock pot Cooking”: “Start a meal – called out – turn off the stove – back hours later and start again.” The Lt. thanked everyone, pictures were taken and songs were sung before everyone departed after wishing the Crew a very Merry Christmas. For the sixth year, the personnel at the Wedgefield Fire Station were reminded that they are appreciated. Thank you to all who participated.
