WELCOME TO WEDGEFIELD - A Deed Restricted Community

No pursuit, No patrol, No confrontation, JUST WATCH and REPORT. June/July 2016

NeighborhoodWatchDuring the last half of JUNE to the present date of JULY 12, 2016 based on Orange County Sheriff’s crime statistics on OCSO web site we have had TWO Residential Burglaries in the 19400 and 19500 blocks of LANSDOWNE and TWO stolen vehicles, one in the 19500 block LANSDOWNE and one in the 2200 block of BANCROFT. I also received a phone call regarding vandalism in the 2300 block of ALABASTER.

On a different note, this year we will again celebrate NHW NIGHT OUT on August 2nd but this time it is to only recognize the day by turning on our lights and going next door to meet our neighbors. Our main celebration will be on the 4th of OCTOBER with ice cream in the park, balloons and face painting for the kids.

EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE BEST CRIME PREVENTION DEVICE KNOWN TO MAN OR WOMAN IS A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND A GOOD NEIGHBOR KNOWS WHAT TO DO WHEN THINGS DO NOT LOOK RIGHT – THEY CALL THE SHERIFF.

SO PLEASE LOCK-UP YOUR CAR; LOCK-UP YOUR GARAGE; and LOCK-UP YOUR HOME

TURN ON YOUR LIGHTS, LOCK-UP AND GO MEET YOU’RE NEIGHBORS

Now on a happy note EVELYN RODRIGUEZ PEREZ continues to keep our Wedgefield NHW Face Book page neighborly and smooth running. Through her efforts we continue to add residents to the membership and we are now at 1,155 this moment. Keep up the good work Evelyn we thank you.

Last but not least the election for Sheriff has been changed to November 8th instead of August 30th. The change was ordered by a judge that determined the position since it was a constitutional office,  it was one that needed to be partisan and so ordered. But, we still have the election for our District 5 Commissioner and other offices on the 30th. Do be sure to vote. Our future depends on those elected.

Now let us all be good neighbors and make the effort to be observant and take appropriate action
