WELCOME TO WEDGEFIELD - A Deed Restricted Community

Green Thumb Garden Club – June 2016

green_thumb_garden_clubThe June Meeting was held at the Wedgefield Clubhouse & had an excellent turn out of Garden Club members.

Lee Breedlove presented the program on houseplants that clean the air of toxins that exist in our homes. She explained the care such as misting, watering & specific light needs for healthy plants. She spoke of two humorous topics such as “plants of steel” & “unkillable” plants.

July’s presentation will be hosted by Sylvia Cox on how to make & care for a potted bonsai plant. Sylvia’s friend will teach us everything needed & directions to shape & pot the plant. Her next topic will be the care of African Violets. It should be a very entertaining program. All of the programs sponsored by our members each month are very thought provoking.

If the members would like to buy pots for their Bonsai plants our speaker will have a variety on sale the day of the program.

Our meetings are open to all Wedgefield residents that are interested in gardening. Participation by all members is appreciated & necessary.

We meet the 1st Thursday of each month in the club house at 11 AM. Please come & join us.
