Austin is working to earn community service hours while helping animals find their forever homes.
My name is Austin Tyree and I am a freshman at East River High School and I have been doing community service hours for Bright Future Scholarship. I have chosen to do them at PetSmart in Waterford Lakes.
I am volunteering with LotsALove Non-Profit Pet Rescue. I have made a year commitment to give one day per month for my hours.
I help set up crates, answer questions, clean up, bring dogs in and out, and help find animals a new forever home.
I️ noticed the supplies they are always using and looking for so I️ decided to help. I am looking for dog and cat food, cat litter, toys, treats, blankets, towels, and sheet donations. They help out with dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters.
I️ can take any donations at any time, however I️ am trying to do a large collection to help restock their supplies. They used a lot of their supplies during Hurricane Irma by helping other shelters and I️ would like to help them in return.
